Vision Statement:
Coordinated safe and cost effective transit system that facilitates the flow of people and commerce to major population centers, social services, entertainment venues, and transportation hubs.

One D Focus Measures

1. Support for regional transit by all local communities
2. Establish a Regional Transit Authority with the appropriate supporting legislation to manage all modes of public transit for SE Michigan by December, 2008
3. Design, fund and implement a totally integrated regional transportation system that serves all of SE MI (utilizing Tourism Destination Districts) as a cornerstone of economic development and a means for diverse people to come together in a common experience by 2015
4. Regional system is nationally recognized in quality, safety, efficiency, and cleanliness

Measures will evolve over time as more supporting organizations join One D and help create a more comprehensive process and plan.
